High praise for Yorkshire legal team

Sheffield law firm Irwin Mitchell has impressive results in a newly published independent guide to legal services. The firm which has more than 1000 people in its Sheffield office was named Yorkshire's best on Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury cases in Chambers UK: A Client's Guide to the Legal Profession.

Several key personnel were named and commended. Their dispute resolution team earns a high rating in the region, with head lawyer Nick Bates singled out for his level of expertise and experience, including representing clients before the Court of Appeal and House of Lords.

Chambers' researchers recognised the family team, stating that team head Martin Loxley is widely considered "one of the best around," he is described by sources as a "detail man capable of getting you a great settlement."

Corporate finance expert Kevin Cunningham is praised for heading a "value-for-money team" which "always puts its clients' interests first".
